Chance to have say on Comrie RBS

-

Residents and businesses have until 5pm on Tuesday, August 14 to have their say on the future of Comrie’s Royal Bank of Scotland.

Johnston Carmichael have set up a dedicated webpage, email address and postal address for residents.

Last month it was announced by the bank that Johnston Carmichael, Scotland’s largest independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisers, will carry out the review into branches, earmarked for closure at the end of the year, including the one in Comrie.

The review is set to conclude in September and RBS has agreed to implement whatever is recommended by Johnston Carmichael “in full.”

Conservative MSP Liz Smith urged residents to have their say.

She said: “I am disappointed that this review will be rushed through in just a few months because RBS took so long to appoint someone.

“However there is still time to save RBS Comrie.

“Hundreds of people have been in touch with my office to make their views known on these closures and I would now encourage them to do likewise with Johnston Carmichael.

“Now residents and businesses who think the RBS branch is a vital service can get in touch with the review directly, via email or by writing to them.”
