Chance to explore Errol Park’s colourful gardens
A magnificent private garden is set to open its gates to the public this month.
Errol Park House will be opening its vast gardens as part of national ‘open gardens’on Wednesday, July 11, 18 and 25.
The garden will be open on each of the three days from 11am until 4.30pm for members of the public to come in and explore the colourful range of plants and shrubs in the garden.
A spokesperson for Errol Park House said:“Dating from 1747, Errol Park has vast walled gardens, glasshouses, superb specimen trees, an ancient yew avenue, a quirky summerhouse, a folly tower, stunning views of the Tay, gracious parkland with mighty oaks, herbaceous borders, a vegetable garden and a commercial flower picking garden.
“The north-west side of the grounds are dominated by a 31 Wellingtonia Avenue, or Californian redwoods, and many other magnificent conifers and hardwoods.”
Each day refreshments will be served by a local community group in the greenhouse, located inside the walled garden.
On Wednesday, July 11, afternoon tea will be served by Errol Revive Community Cafe. Similarly, on Wednesday, July 18 refreshments will come from the Carse of Gowrie Sustainability Group.
And finally on Wednesday, July 25 the food and drink will be served up by Invergowrie Community Cafe.

The gardens will be open from 11am until 4.30pm each of the three days, and entry is £5 at the garden gates.
All proceeds from the gates and the refreshments will go towards local charities.
