Sky’s the limit for businessman’s plans

- Rachel Clark

Daniel Webster A Kinross-shire businessman is looking forward to bringing a range of new ideas to the town - including everything from hot air balloons to honey.

Daniel Webster, who grew up in Kinross, is looking to introduce a self-storage company, a hot air balloon venture and a company promoting local honey.

This comes as his company Webster Group officially started the fourth stage of its high-end property development at Gairneybank last week, moving on from its previous development at the Crook of Devon.

Daniel launched Webster Developments back in 2011 when he was only 19. Since then, he has built the company up, and is now looking forward to his new business moves.

He said:“We’re delighted to be at development number four with Webster Homes.

“Establishing Webster Homes was a natural progression from Webster Developments, it made sense to establish our own division specialising in the top end of the market.

“Gairneybank is a fantastic and wellsituated location. Our high specification homes, which can now be reserved from plan, offer the flexibility of either an additional games room or a separate apartment.

“We are confident that they will appeal strongly to our market sector of discerning buyers looking for a luxury property with a rural feel, coupled with the best commuting links possible.”

However, the Kinross-shire entrepreneur is also looking forward to his new ventures as well.

He continued:“It’s a vibrant sector and we’re attracting attention with our bright orange signage displayed by the side of the M90 motorway just before Kinross.

“We’ve just broken ground in Kinross where we are about to build eco friendly office spaces, as there is most definitely a need for this locally.

“As for the local honey, Webster Honey now has over 178 hives all over Scotland, and promotes education about bees to youngsters.

“The honey came about when we were working out more ways to become more eco-friendly, and the need for bees emerged.

“I enjoy having many diverse platforms to develop, it keeps it fresh for me, and I believe that each sector of the Webster Group has potential, exploiting many current trends.”

And as for the hot air balloon rides, he added:“It was started as a fun opportunity to do something different, flying the balloon all over the world.”
