Drainage probe
Drainage investigations have commenced on a section of the M90 at Balmanno Hill.
The investigations allow teams to carry out checks to the current drainage system on both sides of the carriageway to determine what improvements will be required ahead of any future maintenance or surfacing works in the area.
The drainage investigation works began last week and will go on for three weeks during the day time, 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Alternate lane closures will be in place during the project, however these will be removed outside of working hours to keep disruption to a minimum.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s north east operating company representative, said: “These investigation works are essential to allow us to identify what improvements or upgrades are required to the current drainage system on this section of the M90 ahead of any future surfacing works taking place.
“To keep disruption to a minimum, we’ve planned these works to take place during offpeak hours during the daytime, and traffic management will be removed outwith working times.
“We encourage all road users to plan their journeys in advance by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date journey information.”
