Kinross is set to be the home of 59 new houses with charging cables for electric cars.

Each home will be fitted with 7kw electric car charging cables to adhere to government plans and facilitate the installation of charge points.

Springfield properties has plans to build two, three and four-bedroom homes at Springfield, Kinross.

The company’s central sales director, Tricia Malek said:“The Scottish Government has pledged that by 2032, all new cars sold will be electric.

“This is the first time we’ve built in Kinross and we’re excited to show house hunters in the area the Springfield product.

“This is why we made the decision to include charging cables in our homes, so if a Springfield customer opts for an electric car, it’ll be much easier and far less intrusive for a charging point to be installed.

“As standard, Springfield includes a wide range of choices in its homes and we encourage customers to personalise their home and choose their carpets, tiles, paint colours, kitchen worktops, doors and handles.

“And now, with the help of computer generated imaging, customers are able to design their home by using‘choices interactive’.

“‘Choices interactive’is a brilliant tool. It demonstrates the true extent of the choices we offer and actually shows the customer what their new home could look like inside.”

The“well-designed”and“energy efficient houses”are expected to go on sale in the next few weeks.
