Annual showis looming

Auchterarder Horticultural Society’s annual show will be held on Saturday, August 25, in the Lang Toon’s Aytoun Hall.

Doors are open from 2-5pm with the official opening and presentation of prizes and trophies taking place at 4pm.

People living in Strathearn are eligible to enter and can obtain a schedule from show secretary Pauline Parr by calling 07837768508. Schedules are also available from Urquharts shop in Auchterarder.

Entries are due in by the Wednesday prior to the show.

There is a large variety of classes for people of all ages to enter, including underfives. Sections cover not only flowers, fruits and vegetables but cooking, baking, handcrafts, flower arranging and special competitions for children.
