Plea after raid on golf club shop

Police officers are appealing again for more informatio­n after a golf club was broken into.

Crieff Golf Club’s pro shop was raided between 12.30am and 1am on Saturday, August 18 after a window was smashed.

A selection of specialist golf clothing - worth more than £1600 - was taken from the shop.

A spokespers­on for Police Scotland’s Tayside division said:“Police Scotland is appealing for informatio­n about a theft from Crieff Golf Club’s pro shop, between 12.30am and 1am on Saturday, August 18.

“The shop was broken into by smashing a window, and rails of golf clothing were stolen.

“These are grey Under Armour fleeces, blue striped Under Armour shirts, and royal blue Footjoy tops. The clothes stolen are high quality items, with a total value of over £1600.

“While it is unlikely anyone saw this incident take place, there is a chance these items may have been offered for sale in and around the area.

“Anyone with any informatio­n should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting CR/20006/18, or speak to any police officer.
