Major Inveralmond development expected
An application to build a major new development in a Perth industrial estate is expected to be handed in shortly.
Councillors sitting on Perth and Kinross Council’s planning and development management committee were told developers are planning to lodge an application for a major development in the Inveralmond Industrial Estate.
The application will come from Perth-based I and H Brown, and Rossco Properties, which is owned by Simon Howie.
It is expected this would include business, general industrial, storage and distribution units on land to the south of Target House on Ruthvenfield Road.
When the councillors met on Wednesday, August 29, they were informed of the key planning policies and who would be involved in examining such an application, should it be handed in to the local authority’s planning bosses.
A number of bodies would be consulted on the matter, such as SEPA, Scottish Natural Heritage, Scottish Water, Transport Scotland and local groups such as Methven Community Council and Tulloch Community Group.
Councillors unanimously agreed to note the ‘proposal of application notice’ in front of them at the meeting.
They will now have the opportunity to speak to council officers about any issues they believe should be addressed or included in the initial planning application and assessment.
