History of our area must be preserved
Dear Sir, I was pleased to see that a local group in Crieff is trying to develop a local museum, with the assistance of CulturePK’s Museums Service.
I hope that they are successful and that other groups in the burghs in Perth and Kinross will pick up the baton.
There is no local museum in Aberfeldy, Auchterarder, Blairgowrie, Coupar Angus or Pitlochry.
Both visitors and locals alike would be fascinated by local museums and the history of the burghs and their localities.
A fine example of what can be achieved is the museum at Abernethy which tells the story of the village and its surroundings in fantastic detail and is organised and run by local volunteers.
Perhaps CulturePK could develop this idea as a counterpoint to the very significant investment which is being made in the arts in Perth over the next few years.

his team and expressed our concerns about speeding cars and lorries and the volume of large HGV vehicles, overgrown vegetation at bus stops and footpaths and walkways, and the volume of large HGV vehicles howling along this junction – not to mention problems with overtaking when you’re entering and leaving said junction.
I have to say that Mr Graham and his team carried out a site visit and helped to get the job done promptly and efficiently.
There are other long-term improvements to be made, but Mr Graham and his team were awesome and genuinely heard our plea – and actually got the job done.
