Councillors agree to work on outdoor spaces
what equipment will be bought, and have decided which areas of the park each will be responsible for maintaining.
At the meeting, a number of new management plans were agreed upon for “key countryside sites”.

All of the sites identified at the meeting are said to be of local and visitor importance” and “will benefit from greater investment to do justice to the high quality and potential of these natural assets”.
Councillors also agreed to a new specialist “horticulture squad”.
The group is to be set up with plant nursery staff at Westbank in Perth.
Together with the council’s greenspace infrastructure team and the community payback team, the new horticulture squad will work to distribute and maintain shrubs and hanging baskets across Perth and Kinross.
And finally, councillors noted an agreement made in June to spend £150,000 on creating accessible play parks.
A number of communities have been campaigning for accessible play parks to be introduced, including at MacRosty Park in Crieff and North Inch in Perth.
