St Johnstone’s Tony Watt is plotting a stunning Scotland recall after being named Ladbrokes Premiership player of the month.

The in-form forward has made a dream start to his McDiarmid Park career and hopes it can lead to a place back in the national set-up.

Watt has received one previous cap for his country, coming off the bench in a 2016 friendly match against Czech Republic in Prague.

“A lot of lads are struggling with injuries but everyone has a chance if they are doing well.

“Hopefully I can get back
