Next month is a busy one for Crieff Drama Group - and with it comes the promise of some superb performances.

First, the group again appears at the Red Squirrel Cafe as part of the Crieff and Strathearn Drovers’ Tryst week with new staged reading ‘Letters Please’ which is compiled by John Cummings.

A spokesperson said: “Penning a letter may by a rarity these days but in the hands of people like Oscar Wilde, Richard Burton, Henry Root, Eric Idle, Winston Churchill, Isadora Duncan and many more, it’s nothing less than an art form.

“The production is a mix of the heartfelt, the historically significant, the tragic, the comic and the unexpected.”

Staged on one night only, ‘Letters Please’ comes to the Red Squirrel on Friday, October 12, at 7.30pm and a bar is available.

Tickets, priced £5, are available at the Red Squirrel or direct from the Drovers’ Tryst website.

Crieff Drama chair Helen Day said: “Following ‘Letters Please,’ our Supper Theatre evenings will be in Morrison’s Academy Hall from October 25-27.

“There are two short, one-act, plays, ‘Permanence’ and ‘Cupboard Love’, two witty and engaging situation comedies.

“Added to these, there’s the unique chance to become the audience for two absurdly quirky live “radio plays” – ‘One Blast and Have Done’ and ‘Blue Murder’ – from a very unlikely CDG Radio Productions!”

The Supper Theatre menu choices will appear shortly on the website www.crieffdramagroup.co.uk
