Press applesat craftfair

A craft fair will be held in eastern Perthshire next month.

The Ruthven Association is holding its craft fair on Saturday, October 20 from 11am until 3.30pm.

It will take place in Ruthven Community Hall, formerly Ruthven Church, which is just of the A926 two miles east of the Alyth roundabout.

There will be fabric crafts, cards, ceramics, handbags, homeware, wood carving, jewellery and knitting on offer at the fair.

The Appletreeman from Bankfoot will also be bringing his apple press to the fair.

Members of the community can bring in their own washed dessert or cooking apples and containers, and can use the press to make their own apple juice to take home.

Donations are welcomed for those wanting to use the apple press, which the community hopes will reduce apple waste.

There will also be a raffle and refreshments include soup, teas, coffees, juices and cakes. Entry by donation.
