Pitlochry Weightlifting Club member Holly Morrogh Bernard won the 75+ kg class at the 2018 British Youths, held in Castleford, England last weekend (September 15,16).

Holly did extremely well to compete after injuring her back a few days before the event, but in spite of this she managed five out of six lifts and she snatched 57kg and clean and jerked 67kg for a 124kg total.

However, Holly won’t have very long to rest as she will be defending her Scottish U-18 title this Saturday (September 22) at the Scottish U-18’s and Scottish Development Cup which will be held at the Live Active Atholl Leisure Centre in Pitlochry, where she will be joined by eight of her club. mates.
