All you need for a spooky Hallowe’en

-

The nights are drawing in and Hallowe’en is nearly here again.

Whether you embrace the festival fully and decorate your house from top to toe with cobwebs, spiders and pumpkin lanterns or prefer to draw the curtains and pop on the telly, Crieff has everything you need to celebrate this increasingly popular fixture in the calendar.

The shops are full of sweets and chocolates, candles, pumpkins, decorations and Hallowe’en-themed treats. Events are planned across the town from family-friendly freebies such as Crieff Community Council’s event in James Square to Strathearn Artspace’s airing of the brilliant Dracula-based movie ‘Love Never Dies’.

Crieff Succeeds Business Improvement District (BID) is using Hallowe’en to remind shoppers of its ‘Just One’ campaign, which encourages locals and visitors to the town to buy at least one thing they’d normally buy online or in a supermarket in Crieff instead.

An added incentive comes in the form of the Crieff Card which was launched to ensure that money spent locally stays in the local economy.

The card is widely accepted across the town and can be bought online or from Fun Junction or Red Squirrel Café.

The BID team is also promoting the card as a great gift for people who live elsewhere to give to relatives or friends in Crieff, and for local businesses to buy as gifts for their staff or for staff incentives.
