Cameron Motors The Perth Rotary Silent Auction’s big aim is to help out good, local causes.
This year Cornhill Macmillan and Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance will both benefit from the generosity of Perth and Kinross residents.
One charity that received a donation previously was Kinfauns Stables RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association).
Last year’s auction helped raise £5000 for the facility, which was set up in 2015 by Geoff Brown.
With costs for both the animals and specialist equipment costing many thousands of pounds each year, the donation was a massive boost for the stables. Stuart

He said: “It was a great help and a fair bit of money.
“The running costs here are so high, especially in the winter when the welfare of the horses is the biggest thing.
“It’s a wonderful thing that the Rotary does and the effort they put in to help local charities is an amazing lift. It also helped lift our profile.”
There are now around 100 disabled riders using the stables, which provides therapeutic riding for people with a range of disabilities.

Stuart said: “We cater for all sorts of disabilities and we also have volunteers with different disabilities and we are able to offer them help as well.
“The problem we have [with costs] is that with things like vet bills you never know what you are likely to be facing. Then there are costs for things like specialist equipment.
“Since we started the growth has just been fantastic.”
