Attacking threat is pleasing for boss

-

Kinnoull manager Alan Cameron is hoping his side can continue to show off their attacking prowess.

But the Tulloch Park boss says that improvements can still be made at the other end of the field in order to keep more clean sheets.

The Perth side travel to take on West Calder United in the East Region League Cup on Saturday afternoon after knocking seven past Rosyth last week.

Cameron said:“The lads have been working hard at training and when they concentrate fully on the job at hand they get their just rewards.

“It’s great to be scoring so freely but we still have a lot of hard work to improve defensively.”

Providing a squad update, Cameron added:“Liam Woolley remains out with an ankle injury. Fraser Morrison joins him with a knee injury.

“We have Greg Whyte and Tijan Nyass both still on holiday.

“There will be late fitness tests for Ryan Robb, David Gray and Mark Smith but hopefully at least one will be available.”

Scone Thistle are also in East Region League Cup action and face a tough test away at Carnoustie Panmure.

The Jags have been finding the back of the net with regularity this season and will hope that continues this weekend.

Last week, in the club’s first home league game of the season, the Farquharson Park men stormed to a 7-1 win over Brechin Vics.

Reflecting on that game, manager Derek Lawson said:“I am delighted with the result and the performance.

“We are playing well at the moment and now we are looking forward to the challenge of Carnoustie on Saturday.”

Blairgowrie welcome Lochee United to Davie Park for an East Region League Cup tussle this weekend and Coupar Angus travel to Broughty Athletic.
