£200,000 drainage works in Kinross
Work has begun on a £200,000 overnight drainage improvement project on a Perthshire road.
A section of the M90 between junction six and five in Perth and Kinross is set to benefit from drainage improvements, which started yesterday (November 26) with the works to last for 10 nights.
The improvements will take place between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night with all improvements expected to be completed by 6.30am on Saturday, December 8.
No works are scheduled for Saturday or Sunday nights. The overnight improvements will take place on the southbound carriageway of the M90 at Kinross which will involve teams carrying out drainage improvements to the central reservation, creating safer travelling conditions.
For the safety of road workers as well as motorists, there will be lane closures on the M90 in both the northbound and southbound lanes between Kinross junction and Crook of Devon junction.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s north-east representative, said:“Our teams will do all they can to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible. We encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date traffic information and we encourage motorists to allow some extra time to reach their destination.”
