St Serf’s Church Last Sunday’s service was led by student minister Craig Dobney from Kinnoull Church. His sermon was based on ‘Knocking down the walls’. Denis Scott read from Psalm 34 and Mark 10. The church flowers were gifted by Christina Bayne. The sum of £1919 was raised at our Christmas Fayre and a big thank you goes out to those who donated or helped in any way. Christmas tree light switch-on The event will take place at 6.30pm on Monday, December 10 followed by a carol service featuring Michael Ellacott at the piano. Please come along for a fun evening and enjoy singing your favourite carols and songs in the lead up to Christmas.

Christmas fayre The Amulree Country Christmas Fayre takes place In Amulree Hall on Friday, November 30. Doors open 6.30pm to browse the lovely craft stalls, the cookery demonstrat­ion begins around 7.30pm. Lynne Mitchell read from Isaiah chapters 8-11 and 18-221 and from the Gospel of Matthew, chapter five, verses 1-12.Office bearers on duty were John Alexander, Anne Baxter and Gordon Rodger.
