Rising concern for missing Lee

Last seen leaving his home in Blairgowri­e

A search is continuing for missing person Lee Brown who was last seen leaving his home in Blairgowri­e in the early hours of Friday morning.

And officers from Police Scotland have appealed for anyone with any informatio­n about Lee and his possible whereabout­s to come forward.

Lee was last seen around 1.45am on Friday, November 30, at his home address in Blairgowri­e.

Emergency services including police officers, local fire crews and water rescue teams spent the weekend looking for Lee, with searches ongoing on Monday as the Perthshire Advertiser went to press.

The national police force’s helicopter was also involved in the search on Saturday.

Friends, relatives and members of the public joined the search, and an appeal by Tayside Police on social media for informatio­n has been shared over 1000 times.

A spokespers­on for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed that crews from Blairgowri­e and Alyth crews as well as SFRS water rescue teams were involved in the search over the weekend and into Monday.

Lee is described as white, 5ft 10 in height and has short brown hair and a slim build.

It is thought he was possibly wearing a three-quarter length camouflage jacket, tracksuit bottoms and a blue/cream bucket style hat. Lee also uses a walking stick. Local councillor for the Blairgowri­e and the glens ward, Caroline Shiers expressed her concerns for Lee.

She said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of Lee Brown at this worrying time and thanks to all those, from the emergency services and members of the public, who have been involved in the extensive search. “I would encourage anyone with any possible sightings or informatio­n to contact Police Scotland.”
