Green vests show their festive cheer
Christmas is approaching but Perth Road Runners still have bags full of festive cheer.
Lou Ella Cole ran the Edinburgh Christmas Charity 10k which takes in a fast and mostly flat course on a cycle path in the capital.
The festival also hosts other runssuchasthe5k,santatoddle and Christmas walk. She completed the 10k in 50:08.
Caroline Ness continued her long distance running with anothermarathon,thistimethe Nottingham Christmas Marathon.
Thecourseconsistedofeight and a bit laps around Holme Pierrepont National Sports Centre and the lake.
She crossed the line with her eight-year-old granddaughter Isla Harrison - complete with festive head wear - in a time of 5:24.53.
Alsorunningattheweekend was Peter Ritchie. He took part in the 5k Bob Stark memorial runinFalkland,completingitin 28:34.
There was parkrun tourism for the Perth club this week where,atHayLodgeparkrunin Peebles, Daile Sipple and Paul Grace were in action.
Mark Dunn was at Ruchill parkrun, Alan and Rhona Watson were over in Ireland at Ormeau parkrun while Debbie Jackson was at Linwood.
The Fair City club was represented by Arlene McWalter and Jane Dernie at St Andrews,withCrawfordWatson at Pollock in Glasgow.
JohnRuddgainedhisfastest parkrun time this year at Montrose running along with Linda O’Neill.
AtPerth’sparkruntherewere 27greenvestsand,atKirkcaldy parkrun, 12 members of the club ran the free 5k route.
Nine Perth Road Runners made the journey to Loch Ore Meadowstoparticipateintheir parkrun.
The club meets regularly on a Tuesday night at Bell’s Sports Centre for a social run, starting at 6.30pm.
High visibility attire is required and head torches recommended.
