Dog contest set to pull in Game Fair crowds
A popular dog food brand are once again sponsoring one of the biggest competitions at the Scottish Game Fair - which will set pulses racing at Scone Palace this summer.
As well as being a sponsor of the International Gundog Competition, Skinner’s Pet Foods is an active supporter of the fair, making sure it attends many of the events at the three-day spectacle with activities to run from July 5 to 7 at the Scone Palace grounds.
The International Gundog Competition has participants from Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales and is a huge draw for visitors to the Scottish Game Fair.
Organiser the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust said spectators come from all four nations to support the teams.
Now in its third year of being an international event, the competition features retrievers and spaniels in separate categories.
Philip Mould, the Scottish Game Fair’s gundog convener, said: “It’s terrific to have such a renowned brand as Skinner’s backing this event.
“The International Gundog Competition is always a popular spectator event and we know it will draw the crowds again this July.”
William Delamore, sales and marketing director of Skinner’s Pet Foods, said: “Skinner’s have a strong affiliation with the working dog market, with many of the country’s top gundog handlers and trainers feeding our popular Field and Trial range.
“We are delighted to once more be sponsoring the Scottish Game Fair and the Four Nations International Gundog Competition.
“It is a natural fit for us and we’re very excited about this year’s event.”
The International Gundog Competition takes place on Saturday, July 6, part of a three-day extravaganza celebrating all things conservation and countryside.
Proceeds go to fund the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust Scotland’s charitable work in Scotland. Scottish Game Fair
