“I feel the love from dogs and I have done a lot of volunteering over the years with them.

“I first got involved in training when I got my first dog because I had to, and that’s where the bug for it came from.

“I didn’t do much with the bug though until about 25 years ago, when I started studying canine psychology.

“I’ve done lots of doggy training and I mentor young people who want to work with dogs, as well as fostering and training dogs for the disabled.”

Votes from her clients have helped her reach the final in March and if Corinne clinches the prize, she wants to dedicate it to those who helped her get there.

She added: “I’m really grateful that people have voted for me.

“If I do win the award it will be for them, not me.

“It will go to a public vote from February 15 I hope the people of Scotland are behind me. The dog world is a small world so I’m feeling hopeful.

“I go down to Crufts every year and it’s a really great event.

“I’d really like to thank my clients for putting me forward.

“To win it would be unbelievable because it is one of the most prestigious awards there is.”

To vote for Corinne go to www. thekennelclub.org.uk/training/kcai/kcaitrainer-of-the-year and the winner will be announced on Saturday, March 9.
