College classes are off for three days

-

Classes have been cancelled at Perth College UHI this week.

From Wednesday, February 13 until Friday, February 15, classes at the college will not take place because of a staff conference day and ongoing industrial action.

The college will still remain open on the three days, and Air Service Training classes will run as normal.

A spokesperson for Perth College UHI said:“All students should be aware that classes are cancelled on Wednesday, February 13, Thursday, February 14 and Friday, February 15.

“As part of national bargaining, academic staff have two days annual leave due to take place Thursday, February 14 and Friday, February 15.

“To avoid any impact on students, classes due to take place on these days will be rescheduled later in the year.

“The college will be open and students are welcome to use the library and other study spaces.

“Air Service Training classes will continue to run as planned.

“If you are due to attend a networked programme and your lecturer is located at Perth College UHI, please be aware that your class will not take place.

“If your classes are affected on these dates, we would encourage you to use this time to carry on with your work via self-study using the university’s facilities and services as normal.

“Although the restaurant and salons are likely to be affected, the nursery, Academy of Sport and Wellbeing and learning centres are open as usual.

“Student bursaries will not be affected.”
