New childcare group set up

Pitlochry’s new out of school childcare group, set up by parents to cover the holidays and before and after school is looking to recruit the staff needed to run this vital service.

The Den @ Heartland Kids’Club is advertising for enthusiastic and committed team members, with the deadline for applications coming this Friday.

When it’s up and running the kids club will provide childcare for 45 weeks of the year with an emphasis on outdoor play.

It will be based at Pitlochry High School with a link to Faskally Woods.

The breakfast club is due to start mid-March, term time only and later in June, an after school club will run during term time, 3.30pm-6pm.

Then in July, for three weeks, and in October for one week, there will be a holiday club keeping the young ones busy from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

“This is a great opportunity to be involved from the start and be part of our team, providing a much needed service for families of school age children between 4 and 14 years,”explained The Den’s organisers.

Vacancies exist for a manager, deputy manager and play assistants and all successful applicants would require references and a satisfactory PVG check.
