Reduction in repairs service for PKC tenants
work until 10am.
“Experience shows that higher levels of calls from customers happen between 9am and 11am, so we need to make sure the centre is staffed efficiently at these times.
“A review of the telephone call numbers for the repairs service centre shows that the vast majority of customer contact (over 90 per cent for housing repairs) happen between 8.45am to 5pm.
“On average, just five to 10 calls per day are taken between 8am and 8.45am, and between 5pm and 6pm.”
The spokesperson continued: “The current opening hours were put in place before the development of digital services and MyPKC, before the wider sue of social media to communicate information and before the introduction of the ‘out of hours’ call handling service provision provided by Aberdeen City Council.
“Therefore, we propose adjusting repairs service centre opening times to 8.45am to 5pm Monday to Friday from April 1 2019.
“This would allow shift patterns to be rearranged so that the service centre is better staffed during peak periods of demand, resulting in a more efficient service for our tenants.”
The spokesperson added: “We’re currently consulting tenants on this proposal and you can have your say by taking part in an online survey. Your views matter to us, so please take a few minutes to take part.”
