Help out in rural communities

-

A group which aims to help develop rural businesses is asking for members of the public to help support those in need of care.

GrowBiz is encouraging as many people as possible to come forward and help others in their community who need a bit of looking after.

This is a bid to improve the lives of people living in local communities across Perthshire.

A spokesperson for GrowBiz said:“As the demand for social care in rural communities increases more and more people are considering how they can help.

“Maybe you are already a good neighbour, a helpful volunteer or an unpaid carer or are considering becoming self-employed to help increase the range of care and support available to those in need.

“Some people may have direct experience of providing care and support, while others may have a particular skill or activity they think may improve the lives of people in their local community.

“Some may want to set up a business on a full time basis whilst others may be balancing other jobs too.

“GrowBiz is keen to help people make that step and to understand the barriers and opportunities within the local social care marketplace and also how best to develop your business idea.

“Whether you’re an expert or want to move into this field, it would be great to meet you and together explore how creative care can best help you on your journey.”
