Kids club impresses inspectors
Oakbank Kids Club is excellent -it’s officical Oakbank Kids’Club is excellent- that’s official.
A recent inspection by the Care Inspectorate evaluated the quality of care and support, as well as the environment, at Oakbank Kids’Club in Perth as“excellent”.
Inspectors found that the children were looked after by staff who are extremely caring and nurturing in their approach.
The children and their families talked very positively about the relationships that had been built between the children and staff members and how these have a positive effect on the children’s experience.
Youngsters also had excellent opportunities to engage in active play on a daily basis inside the gym hall or in the extensive playgrounds and multi-use games area. As with all activities in the club, children freely chose these opportunities, moving between the main club space and the outdoors safely.
The film that was made by the children about their experience at the club was considered to be hugely enjoyable and was an example of best practice.
Convener of Perth and Kinross Council’s lifelong learning committee, Councillor Caroline Shiers said:“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate everyone at Oakbank Kids’Club on the fantastic outcome of their inspection by the care inspectorate.
“It’s clear this facility provides high quality, fun service for children.”
