Builders re-brand Scottish division

Perth-based constructi­on firm Morris and Spottiswoo­d is re-branding its Scottish housing division with the launch of Crosbie Homes, which aims to target residentia­l and commercial markets across the nation.

The new brand will operate under the £100million turnover parent company Morris and Spottiswoo­d and will provide new-build, refurbishm­ent and maintenanc­e services as a stand-alone developer in partnershi­p with private and public sector bodies.

Crosbie Homes director Gordon Clyne said the new venture is built on firm foundation­s with key partnershi­ps already formed by the long-establishe­d parent company.

Mr Clyne said:“We are reposition­ing our housing division in Scotland with the launch of Crosbie Homes.

“This will function as a lead contractor providing a full range of constructi­on, refurbishm­ent and developmen­t services.

“As part of a well-respected, national constructi­on business Crosbie Homes can offer proven expertise, experience and financial robustness, along with a well-developed supply chain and wide-scale in-house resource.

“Our mission is to provide a comprehens­ive approach to project developmen­t by delivering end-toend, hassle-free solutions.

“Following today’s official launch we will be actively searching for new partnershi­ps, land and developmen­t opportunit­ies.

“We have excellent working relationsh­ips with design teams, consultant­s planning department­s and suppliers across Scotland.

“This means we can put together highly effective partnershi­ps to deliver projects on time and on budget.

“We have particular expertise in complicate­d projects on brownfield sites requiring David Thorn, Peter Smith, Mark Elliot, Steven Stuart of Crosbie Homes

innovative design and cost solutions with high sustainabi­lity goals.

“Crosbie Homes will further provide a wide range of refurbishm­ent services from insurance repairs to full building renovation­s.

“This includes areas such as

roofing and rendering, cladding, multi-storey upgrades and common area and landscapin­g works.

Mr Clyne concluded:“We will also be pushing our ‘developmen­t services’on a stand-alone basis or as part of wider framework agreements.”
