Residents of Perth and Kinross, along with other Tayside regions, are invited to come along to the NHS Tayside’s annual review to hear an update on the health board’s performance and its plans for the future.
NHS Tayside chairman John Brown, will present NHS Tayside’s performance over the past year, joined by chief executive Grant Archibald and the board’s directors.
Jeane Freeman MSP, cabinet secretary for health and sport, will attend the public session which is taking place at 2.15pm on Monday, February 25, in the Gannochy Trust Lecture Theatre at Ninewells Hospital.
Members of the public can pose questions on the day to the chairman and the rest of the leadership team of NHS Tayside.
NHS Tayside chairman John Brown said: “The annual review is an important date in our calendar as we are rightly held accountable in public for the services we provide.
“NHS Tayside has faced a demanding year but thanks to the efforts of staff, improvements are underway and the organisation is now better placed to be able to respond to the challenges which all health boards across Scotland are facing.
“Compared to last year, improvements are evident in financial management, leadership, governance and planning and, crucially, partnership working with our colleagues and partners in integration joint boards, local authorities, Scottish Government, universities and all our stakeholders.
“We are now working hard to build on these achievements in our three-year Transforming Tayside plan which has been developed jointly by clinicians and managers.
“Our annual review is open to everyone and I would encourage members of the public to come along and see first-hand how we are doing and ask us about our plans for the future.”
