Caravan park adds pitches to suit larger touring vehicles
Blair Castle Caravan Park in Blair Atholl is adapting to cope with the growing trend of larger touring vehicles
A popular caravan park in Highland Perthshire has expanded ahead of this year’s summer season.
Blair Castle Caravan Park, based in the grounds of Blair Castle and the Atholl Estate, has added five new large pitches to its offering.
Staff at the caravan park in Blair Atholl say they have been able to introduce these new pitches ahead of the
season, and will be able to cope with the growing trend of larger touring vehicles.
These new pitches will cover nine metres, compared to the traditional eight metres in the regular spaces.
The larger pitches sit alongside the existing 200 spaces and 18 static caravan holiday homes, which each have a hard-standing surface.
Julia Sim, head of sales and
marketing at Blair Castle, said: “We recognise the growing demand for touring vehicles and visitors are increasingly choosing to travel with their own vehicles, which provides them with greater familiarity.
“The new pitches offer travellers an excellent opportunity to discover Perthshire in luxurious comfort with their own super-size vehicles.
“Our site is well equipped and offers a wide range of facilities and activities to visitors.
“It’s the perfect spot to unwind, relax and create some memorable adventures in the Scottish Highlands.”
Recently the park was awarded four-star accreditation from VisitScotland, and offers modern amenities within walking distance.
The site will open on Friday, March 1 and will close for the winter season in mid-November.
