Hotel gets four nominations in prestige awards
A boutique hotel in Perth has been nominated for a host of top industry awards.
Parklands Boutique Hotel in the city centre has received four nominations in the upcoming Prestige Hotel Awards.
The awards aim to showcase and reward outstanding service within the Scottish hotel industry, and are voted for by members of the public.
The four star hotel overlooking the South Inch has been shortlisted for best dining experience, best hotel with under 50 rooms, best value hotel and best city hotel.
This comes as the owners Scott and Penny Edwards have invested significantly in the hotel over the past year.
Scott said:“To be shortlisted in four categories as the only hotel representing Perth city is an incredible honour for us, and pays testament to the hard work and commitment of our entire team.
“The tourism industry, like so many others, is facing a challenging time and we know there is a temptation to cut back costs such as on capital investment and team development.
“However, we have chosen to invest £100,000 over the past three years and remain committed to ensuring our offer remains at the quality end of the market.
“Providing visitors to Perth with an exceptional experience is the promise we’ve built our business on, and I am delighted that our team has been rewarded with this prestigious shortlist as a result.”
The news comes after Parklands secured an entry in the Michelin guide for the 15th year running, and after recently being reaccredited as an AA two rosette restaurant. Scott and Penny Edwards, after Parklands Hotel was nominated in four categories at the Prestige Hotel Awards. Picture by Fraser Band
