Enjoy magic of the Bard on the big screen
Residents living in Perth will be able to enjoy Shakespeare on stage from the comfort of Perth Playhouse.
The cinema on Murray Street will be live streaming a number of upcoming performances by the Royal Shakespeare Company on the big screen.
This will allow residents to enjoy theatrical culture from the cinema.
The first of these plays will be‘As You Like It’on Wednesday, April 17 at 7pm.
In this play, Rosalind is banished, wrestling with her heart and her head.
With her cousin by her side, she journeys to a world of exile where barriers are broken down and all can discover their deeper selves.
Director Kimberley Sykes directs is riotous, exhilarating version of Shakespeare’s romantic comedy.
The next show will come on Wednesday, June 5 at 7pm with‘The Taming of the Shrew’.
In a re-imagined 1590, England is a matriarchy.
