Last chance to enter awards
Volunteers from local charity Beautiful Perth do a lot of work to brighten up, clean up and green up the Fair City, making it a lovely place to live, work and visit.
But everyone in Perth can also make a big impact.
The Beautiful Perth Awards are all about encouraging people to take part, from beginners to experts and from new projects to long-established ones.
There are different levels of award to reflect this, from bronze to gold, and Beautiful Perth will be on hand to offer advice and information on horticulture, environmental issues and community involvement.
Award
categories
There are award categories for residential properties, business premises, community projects and environmental practice.
Residents can enter their gardens, containers, window boxes or fruit and veg plots.
Businesses can enter displays at their premises that help brighten up the city, and community groups can put forward projects large and small that are improving their local neighbourhoods.

£50 prize for golfing feature
This year there’s a special Beautiful Perth Award for the best ‘garden’ feature that celebrates this year’s Solheim Cup international ladies’ golf tournament.
This can be in a garden, on a patio, at business premises or in a community project and the judges will be looking for creative use of upcycled materials in the making of a feature that relates to ladies’ golf.
The winner of this award will receive a trophy donated by the IMG Sports Management Company and £50, and there will be certificates for each entry.
Help impress the judges
The Britain in Bloom judges are coming to Perth soon, so the more entries that come in, the more impressed they will be.
You never know - you could help Beautiful Perth bring that much-coveted Champion of Champions Award home from the award ceremony in October.
