Jane Drysdale, secretary of Kinross Show, said:“Preparations are going well and there will be plenty for everyone at the show.

“Hopefully it will be a really good day.

“There is a gun dog demonstration, the usual cattle, sheep and horses and a flower show, and an entertainment tent with people doing different stints.

“We also welcome the St Andrews Caledonia Pipe Band from Tasmania, who are touring Scotland and coming to the show at 2pm.

“The rural will have a baking competition, there will be arts and crafts, a mix of trade stands and a dog show.

“We have had quite a large amount of people helping to get everything set up which is really good, and we have a fair amount of entries as well.”

She added:“Everything is a wee bit wet at the moment, but we have provisions in place in case it gets really wet.

“We can’t control the weather, but last year it was sunny so who knows what will happen - but the forecast doesn’t look so good.”

There will be free buses running throughout Kinross-shire to get people to the showground at Loch Leven.
