Weekday programme set to kick-off again

Our weekday Saints Kidz programmes will resume next week. Dates and times are: Soccer Monday on August 19 from 5-6pm, Soccer Wednesday on August 14 from 5-6pm, Squad Training on August 15 from 5-6pm. SQUADTRAINING Our six-week development Squad Training for outfield players and goalkeepers in P5 to S2 resumes on August 15, 5-6pm, at McDiarmid.

At the training squad, learn the art of defending, how to effectively master both defensive and attacking situations in the midfield area and how to develop attacking skills.

And with the goalkeeper squad, sessions will cover basic handling and distribution, agility, how to effectively deal with crosses and positioning. Places must be booked and paid for in advance. The cost is £30. SAINTS KIDZ COUNTY For pupils in P1 to S2. Our term-time football sessions will resume in various county venues throughout Perth and Kinross. Dates and times are: Blairgowrie Campus on August 15 from 5 to 6pm, Kinross Loch Leven Campus on August 14 from 5.30 to 6.30pm, Pitlochry Recreation Ground on August 14 from 5.30 to 6.30pm. The cost is £4 per session. SOCCER SATURDAY Our Saints Kidz Soccer Saturday programme resumes on August 17 and provides boys and girls of all abilities with a mixture of fun technique practices, an introduction to using this technique in small sided-games and an understanding of how to play in different areas of the pitch.

Times are 9.30-10.30am for P1 to P3 players and then 10.30-11.30am for P4 to S2 participants. All sessions will conclude with a series of small sided games. SAINTSTEASER Last week: On September 29 1971, Saints beat Hamburg 3-0 in the old UEFA Cup before beating Celtic on the Saturday.
