Chantel sells well
The Backroom Bar at The Green Hotel is selling out of tickets for a female rock guitar virtuoso.
In just a few days, Chantel McGregor is back by popular demand for a second time to play in Kinross, at 8pm on Monday, August 26.
At just fourteen, Chantel was told by major labels that she had a“great voice, but girls don’t play guitar like that.”
Later she left Leeds College of Music with a first class honours degree in popular music and the college’s musician of the year award.
Since then she has got a record deal and her amazing playing has been compared to‘bending’sound and she has even been credited for‘channeling the ghost of Hendrix’through her fingertips.
Her stunning live performances demonstrate that she has the ability to effortlessly perform rock for the new age.

In 2011 Chantel released her debut album,‘Like No Other’. The album was produced by Livingstone Brown, whose production credits include Ed Sheeran, Robin Trower, and Shakira.
The beautifully crafted album showcased Chantel’s versatility and talent as a singer-songwriter.
A follow up album,‘Like Control’, again produced by Livingstone Brown, was released in October 2015 to critical acclaim. The single,‘Take The Power’, was play listed for five weeks on Planet Rock radio.
In December 2018, Chantel launched her own podcast, which has been very successful, earning a place in the iTunes podcast charts. Chantel recorded a live album at the end of March 2019, due to be released any day now.
She’is currently writing for her third studio album and recording an acoustic album, debuting some of the new tracks on her 2019 tour, which as well as taking in Kinross, will see her perform throughout the UK and Europe.
