the club.

“Everyone has hit the ground running and gelled very quickly,”Cameron explained.“That has been very pleasing and I didn’t expect that.

“Bringing in new boys, sometimes it can be difficult to get them on the same wavelength.

“But the guys who have come in have been great and I think because they are young it doesn’t affect them as much.

“We still need to have that wee bit of experience in the squad to calm things down and pull the strings at certain times.

“The competition at training is good and, if anyone drops out for whatever reason, it’s difficult for them to get back into the squad. But that is a good thing.

“We’re pretty much taking it one game at a time. You can’t look too far ahead of yourself. We’ll approach each game in the proper manner and see where it takes us.”

Kinnoull are seeking to continue their positive start when they travel to take on Heriot Watt University tomorrow.

“I spoke to Jeanfield manager Ross Gunnion about them,”revealed Cameron. “They will be very well organised and well drilled with a good shape.

“Ross said we might have caught them early enough in regards to they won’t have all their players there. But they have had some decent results so far this season.

“They have been in the league for a good few years and are obviously used to the level.

“It’s a bit of a weird one because we’re going into a lot of games and not getting much information about the opposition.

“We’ve had information on a couple of teams which has been totally duff. We know it’s going to be a tough one but hopefully if we play to our best we’ll get a result.

“We’ve been doing well and we’ve been able to make a few wee changes in games. That has proved that we’ve got a bit of strength in depth at this level.

“There was a good turnout at training this week and everyone is desperate to be at the front of a good run, which is putting a positive spin on everything for us.”

Striker Dale Smart misses out this weekend but Cameron said:“Other than that we should have a full squad.

“There’s one or two coming back who have missed recent weeks with knocks.”

Kick-off against Heriot Watt is at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
