Free session offer for people with MS

-

Those recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) are being encouraged to attend a free support session.

MS Society Scotland is running an online‘Living well with MS’support session to help those affected by the neurological condition to share their own experiences and connect with others who have also been newly diagnosed with MS.

The session comes after the charity announced its ‘My MS, My Way: Tayside’ project, to assist over 240 people living in the Tayside region.

Taking place in September, October and November, two groups will be given the opportunity to learn from each other about how to live well with MS, and build their confidence in setting daily goals.

Those that attend will also have the opportunity to stay in touch with each other online.

Coleen Kelly, selfmanagement lead for MS Society Scotland, said: “This is a great opportunity to connect with other people who live with MS. During the sessions, people will be able to learn about skills and strategies to manage the challenges that MS brings and find out more about local organisations that can offer support.”

The first of these online sessions will take place on Sunday, September 15 from 11.30am and then again on Sunday, October 6 from 1pm.

A second set of sessions is then scheduled for Tuesday, October 22 at 7.30pm and Sunday, October 6 from 8pm.

Attendees are able to join these sessions remotely from their own home and can sign up online via Eventbrite.
