Film will explore climate strike
To mark the global climate strikeon Friday, September 20,a film screening and discussion will be held in Perth.
ZeroWaste Perth will be screening the documentary‘Revolution’ and holding a buffetand discussion on Friday at The Bike Station on the city’s High Street.
Running from 5.15pm until 7.45pm, the group will discuss howScotland should respond to the global climate emergency.
A spokesperson for the event said:“To mark the global climate strikeon Friday, September 20, ZeroWaste Perth will be hosting a free screening of ‘Revolution’,a documentary to inform, inspire and motivate positive action for the futureof the planet.
“The film screening will be followed byan open discussion on climate changeand the positive actions wecan take.
“This will bean opportunity to discuss morewidely howScotland should respond to the climate emergencyand how it can achieve its net zero emissions target.
“The conversation will be facilitated by Keep Scotland Beautifuland feed into the Scottish Government’s public consultationson climate change.”
‘Revolution’followsa truelifeadventureof the evolution of lifeon earth, and the audience is brought face-to-face with sharks, lemurs, the microscopic world of pygmy seahorses, hunting the deadly cuttlefish, coral reefsin PapuaNew Guineaand rainforests on the islandof Madagascar.
A buffet will be served from 5.15pmand the film will start at 5.30pm.
The discussion will follow at 7pm.
