Business Roadshow will bring events and masterclasses to help rural firms

-

Perthshire Chamber of Commerce, Business Gateway Tayside and Perth and Kinross Council have joined forces to announce the launch of their ‘rural roadshow’.

The show will soon be hitting the roads of Perthshire, loaded with a jam-packed schedule full of events and masterclasses that have been designed to support local businesses.

The roadshow will kick off with an inspiring event – ‘creative branding for the brave’ with guest speaker Andrew Dobbie, founder and CEO of MadeBrave, who will share his entrepreneurial story and top tips to help bring your brand to life.

The event will be hosted in the picturesque surroundings of Cardney Estate, a truly idyllic location in the heart of Highland Perthshire on Thursday, September 26.

A creative agency that specialises in imaginative brand stories to connect with customers, MadeBrave began in 2011 with barely £1000 in the bank. Fast forward eight years and the company has grown to become an award-winning creative agency with an impressive portfolio of clients including the BBC, BrewDog, IBM, Vango, University of Stirling and many more.

This is the perfect way to be inspired by Andrew’s story, meet new people, develop working relationships, and find out what business support is on offer.

Setting off on October 21, the rural roadshow will travel through key locations in Perthshire, supporting local businesses along the way.

Each day will offer a raft of master classes, surgery sessions, cafe takeovers and networking events, as well as various sector and location specific events.

This will culminate on November 1 in Scone with a business breakfast where you can hear from a local entrepreneur about their journey.

As a collective, the groups behind the event have designed a schedule of topics to cover key areas that will strengthen rural businesses as well as focusing on the distinct challenges they face.

Issues covered will include digital support, HR advice, exporting and they have even teamed up with the NHS to bring you a workshop designed to help you look after your mental health and wellbeing whilst running your business.

Vicki Unite of Perthshire Chamber of Commerce says: ”By partnering with Business Gateway and Perth and Kinross Council we are able to align our services and activities and strengthen the support we can offer to Perthshire businesses.

“We’ll all be able to learn a lot through our roadshow and we are keen that it is a two-way dialogue so we can learn more about our businesses and what they need from us. The outcomes can then be carried forward to deliver a tailored service in partnership in direct response to the local demand.”

Caryn Gibson, depute operations manager of Business Gateway, said: “We are delighted to partner with Perthshire Chamber of Commerce and Perth and Kinross Council to bring you this roadshow.

“At Business Gateway we are passionate about business and we want to ensure our support is reaching the far corners of the Perthshire landscape and that rural businesses can embrace the fantastic support on offer.”
