BLAIRGOWRIE

-

Auchterarder Macmillan Cancer Support Fundraising Group is delighted to have raised the huge sum of £1096.93 at its quiz night on Friday, September 6 in the community church hall.

Chairman Christine Steele said: “What a fantastic atmosphere there was in the hall on Friday, the community is so supportive of our events and that’s a wonderful amount to have raised”.

The committee would like to thank everyone who participated and assisted with the event.

The quiz night provided a great evening of entertainment and the committee served a lovely spread of tapas at the interval. Congratulations to winning team Millhill Way, following a very close contest.

Special thanks to quiz master Blair Duncan and his assistant Jenny Dalgleish for the time and effort taken to prepare and deliver the quiz on the night. Thanks to Bill Tilstone, president of the local camera club for taking the pictures, to Mandy for her assistance at the hall and to volunteer helpers Martin Ross, Colin MacLaren, Logan Steele, Jackie Lonen, Ruth Buchan and Sue Mosely for coming along to assist the committee. The committee would not be able to put on these hugely successful events without the assistance of others giving up their time to help.

Auchterarder Macmillan’s next event will be the Christmas concert at the Gleneagles Hotel on Wednesday, December 18. Tickets are priced at £18 and there will be a raffle on the night (£2 per ticket). Check local press and the group’s Facebook page for ticket information nearer the time.
