Pole dancers and burlesque at LGBT do
Perth’s very own drag queen says she can’t wait for next week’s LGBT club night.
Scarlet Skylar Rae will be hosting‘Perth, Wind and Fire’ at The Venue on Friday, October 18.
A range of drag queens, burlesque dancers and other entertainment will be put on at the LGBT friendly club night.
Scarlet said:“It is all coming together really well and we are all very excited about it.
“We have a few different drag queens coming up, so there is a drag queen who has just started her Bathgate club night, so she will be absolutely fab, and then Genocide from Hebridean Pride.
“The pole dancers from Get Fit and Fly will also be performing and we have some burlesque dancers, which is great.
“All the money raised on the night will go to Perthshire Pride to try and make next year’s Pride event bigger and better.”
Scarlet said it is“crucial” nights like this are held for the LGBT community in Perth.
She continued:“It is lovely to see the support we have from the community in building this safe space.
“It is absolutely crucial for the LGBT community.
“When we did our first ‘Perth, Wind and Fire’night, we had lots of people telling us they wanted to see more of these nights.
“A lot of people go through to Dundee or other places for their drag nights, so it is really good we are able to do things like this in Perth.
“It is a really warm, friendly atmosphere and everyone who comes will have the best thing.
“I am really looking forward to it, and thankful for everyone who continues to support us.”
Scarlet added Perthshire Pride is looking to host a similar night in the run-up to Christmas.
The club night at The Venue starts at 7. 3 0pm and runs until 3am.
