Hari Panther, Georgia Teddy and Daniel Lao-orng were smash hits at Perth Tennis Club’s school holiday coaching. The trio had a ball at the week of action alongside a bumper crowd of enthusiastic kids looking to develop their skills and have fun. Gary Wilson will take to the ring on November 23 before former two-weight world champion Nigel Benn makes a controversial comeback later in the evening.

Benn (55) has not boxed competitively in 23 years but is now preparing to face-off against 40-year-old Sakio Bika at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham.

Wilson, a coach at Perth Railway Boxing Club, was thrilled to receive confirmation that he had been included in the line-up.

“I thought I was finished,” Wilson joked. “But they got in touch and asked if I wanted the six-rounder. I jumped at the chance.

“It will be interesting to see if they fill the arena with 16,000 folk. I’ve never been in front of anywhere near that amount. Initially I didn’t think it was a good idea for him [Nigel Benn]. But it will be interesting to see what sort of shape a 55-year-old guy can get himself into.

“He’s picked a very hard opponent. To have 23 years out and jump back into a 10-rounder, against a guy who was fighting for a world title a few years ago, is hard.

“I’m just going to enjoy my fight. I’ll be doing the undercard and then I can enjoy the night. I’m looking forward to having a good seat.

“I’m not expecting any support and there is no pressure on me. I’m down there in the away corner.”

Former Marine Wilson (38), who has won all three of his previous pro fights, is down to fight Martin Freeman in a super middleweight bout.

Training is stepping up a level and Wilson said: “It’s a decent guy I’m up against so it should be a good fight.

“He’s sitting with a record of 5-0, is a southpaw and is a technically decent boxer.

“I’ve had a wee look at his fights online and I don’t think
