Teen assaulted in broad daylight
Police were yesterday investigating an incident which saw a teenager assaulted in Auchterarder.
Police Scotland revealed earlier this week a 13-year-old boy was attacked by a group of three older teenagers on Saturday afternoon.
The victim was assaulted and verbally abused by three people believed to be around 17 years of age during the incident on Auchterarder High Street between 2pm and 3pm on October 19.
A spokesperson for the nationwide force said the boy was shaken and upset as a result of the incident, but had not been badly injured.
On Wednesday this week, the police representative said the force was following a positive line of inquiry but officers were still hoping to speak to members of the public who they know were in the area at the time of the assault.
One suspect is described as slim with hair in a distinctive fringe, wearing a black zip-up hooded top and riding a BMX-style bike.
The second suspect was also slim with dark brown hair, slight facial stubble and wearing a green Stone Island-branded jumper and dark jogging bottoms.
The third was tall, of slim build, short-haired and wearing skinny jeans and a dark hooded top.
The Police Scotland spokesperson said:“If you have any information that could assist our investigation, please call 101 or speak with any police officer.
“Also, information can be given anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
