This is not a drop in clinic and patients must be booked in advance. Due to the very limited access, they will have no patients’ records available at the hall. The surgery hope their patients will find this to be of benefit and anyone who has already booked in for a flu vaccine at Taymount in the coming weeks, will be able to easily change their booking.

CYPRUS GOLF CLUB BURRELTON AND WOODSIDE SENIOR CLUB

The recent meeting of the senior club was well attended and several short films shown by Phil, Bill and David from Perth Film Makers Club were well received. Afternoon tea and home baking were donated by Sandra Service and Mary McArthur. Members have been invited to Guildtown Friendship Club on Wednesday, November 27 at 2pm for a St Andrew’s Day celebratio­n. Please let Marie know if you wish to attend this event. Club members were at Tesco Blairgowri­e last Friday and Saturday selling raffle tickets for the Christmas hampers. Marie thanks all the volunteers who helped sell tickets and to staff in Tesco Blairgowri­e for allowing them to do so. The next meeting is on Thursday, November 7 at 2pm in Cargill Burrelton church hall and is also the annual military whist and dominoes drive and raffle. There will also be guests from other local clubs. Anyone wishing to attend should contact Marie know (for catering purposes) on 01828 670344. Afternoon tea will be served on the day.

Well known talented local artist June McEwan was introduced by president, Wilma Brown at the recent meeting. Crieff cows, both willow and ceramic, were part of June’s talk, along with stories of her many other artistic skills. The ladies also learned about the history and farming of willow. Members were encouraged to make their own willow hoops. The competitio­ns were: an autumn photo which was won by Helen Newton, with Alison Prichard in second place, and Heather Walker in third. Three treacle scones was won by Helen Graham, Heather Walker came second, and Helen Newton was in third place.
