Social enterprise awards
The Tayside and Fife Social Enterprise Partnership has announced the launch of the second annual Tayside and Fife Social Enterprise Awards.
Following the success of the inaugural awards last year, the event will showcase the very best activity undertaken by social enterprises in Perth and Kinross, as well as the rest of Tayside and Fife.
The awards celebrate their achievement in supporting local communities during 2019.
The broad range of activities that social enterprises are involved in is reflected in the award categories with this year’s award categories covering social impact, best new start, business growth and an environmental impact award.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held in Dundee on Thursday, February 20, 2020 with Mid Scotland and Fife MSP John Swinney, opening the event.
Social Enterprise chairman, Derek Marshall, said:“The recent Social Enterprise census reported that social enterprises contributed £2.3 billion to the Scottish Economy.
“We are proud of the work that Social Enterprise carries out across the whole of Tayside and Fife region.
“This is an opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge the important activity and high social and environmental impact that is carried out in communities all across the area.
“I urge all social enterprises to enter the awards and to join us in an evening of celebration on February 20.”
