Attentions have quicklyturned back to North Super League actionwith the Jags hosting Broughty Athletic onSaturday afternoon.

The visitors, who were outof action last week, have enjoyed a productive start to the season and sit secondin the standingsbehind Carnoustie Panmure.

For Gray, the fixture represents achance for Scone players to forget abouttheir cup exitand put in a positive performance.

“Everyone was gutted after last week as we felt we were the better team,”Gray explained to the Perthshire Advertiser yesterday.

“We have to put it behind us though becausethe league is our mainpriority this season.

“Broughty Athletic are oneof thetop sides who will be looking to win the leaguethis season. They have quality options all over the pitch so it will be a very difficult game.

“But we are looking forward to every game this year.Every team is capable of beating anyoneon their day andthat’s why it is sucha tightly contested league.”

Sconecan be more thanhappy with their debut season in the Super League, currently sitting mid-table having wonfive and lost five of their opening 10 matches.

They remain in striking distance of opponents Broughty Athletic, with amaximum haulofpoints tomorrow reducing the gap to onlythree points.

“Three points would be an excellent boost for us,”Gray continued.“We just wanted to compete this season andthen see where that tookus.

“So to be near some of the teams at thetopwould be great.”
