LOCH LEVEN NNR EVENTS

A decoration workshop will take place at the Loch Leven reserve on Monday, December 9. This a free family event and will involve making Christmas decoration­s from natural materials. Doors open from 2–6pm. A wreath workshop will be hosted on Thursday, December 12 with an opportunit­y to create your own wreath, again from natural materials. HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Kinross-shire Historical Society will next meet on Monday, December 9. The group will meet in Kinross Parish Church, at Station Road, Kinross at 7.30pm. The speaker, Dr David Munro MBE, will discuss ‘From Jummock’s Deep to the Thrapple Hole’ - navigating Loch Leven with the help of places names. Membership costs £7.50, free entry for under 18s, visitors £3 per talk.

KINROSS CENTRE EVENTS

Christmas card making with Hilary will be held in the Kinross centre on Thursday, December 12. Doors open from 1.30– 3pm. Membership is free for members, non-members £1. A carol concert with Alex Cant will take place on Tuesday, December 17. Doors open at 2–3pm. Carol singing with tea, coffee and hot mince pies. Entrance is free, and is for all ages. KINROSS GARDEN GROUP

The Kinross garden group will next meet in Millbridge Hall in Kinross on Thursday, December 12. Doors open at 1.30pm for a 2pm start. The speaker, Jim Jermyn from the Branklyn Garden in Perth will give a talk entitled Branklyn Garden - a legacy to Mr and Mrs Renton. Contact Caroline Anderson on 01577 864589 for details.
