Four businesses from region pick up awards
A number of top Perthshire businesses have won big at the annual Scottish Wedding Awards.
Four businesses from the region picked up accolades at the ceremony, which was held in Glasgow.
The awards aim to recognise the best and brightest in the Scottish wedding industry across a range of different categories.
Kerry McFadden from Kerry Blair Photography in Blairgowrie, won creative photographer of the year at the event.
She said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have won this prestigious award.
“I absolutely have the best couples and can’t thank them enough for the initial nominations.
“This award means so much to me and my small business.”
Meanwhile Tay Ceilidh Band from Perth won wedding entertainment of the year, and 3G Catering Services, also from Perth, walked away with the caterer of the year title.
George Urquhart from 3G Catering said: “I am proud of the whole of 3G Catering, from the office team to the guys who service the events - it is very much a team effort.
“Personally, it gives me great pride to fly the flag for Perth and Perthshire, proving what great produce we have in the local area.”
Louise Quinn from Crieff won freelance wedding hair and makeup specialist of the year for the central region.
And Laura Binner from Laurel Tree Events, a wedding planner based in Balnaguard, received a highly commended award in the wedding planner of the year category.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Wedding Awards 2020 said: “The winners represent the industry’s gold standard that work tirelessly to meet the demands of the couples and their guests.
“The awards showcased some of the best wedding specialists that operate in the industry, whose excellence and commitment brought them to the forefront of the industry.
“These champions are tried and tested specialists that know how to create a stress-free wedding experience, keeping the romance in the air.
“We would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their amazing achievements.”
